Frequently Asked Questions:

Will my battery be fully drained during an event?

No. Dispatch events typically use only a portion of your stored energy. Your system continues to prioritize backup protection based on the reserve capacity you specify.

How often do events occur?

Events typically occur during periods of high electricity demand in the summer and winter. Events occur between 3pm and 8pm and last a maximum of 4 hours.

Do I need to manually control my system to participate in events?

No. Once enrolled, your Sol-Ark system manages participation automatically.

Am I locked into the program once I enroll or can I opt out later?

You may opt out of individual events; however, doing so may impact the incentive amount you receive. If you wish to withdraw your system from the program entirely, you can do so at any time by emailing ORU@energyhub.com. Please note that if your system is removed from the program, you will not be eligible to receive incentives for that season. Additionally, once enrolled, your system may be automatically included in subsequent seasons unless you notify ORU@energyhub.com that you would like to be removed.

Will this impact my battery warranty?

No. Participation in the program does not impact Sol-Ark equipment warranties.

Do I need to maintain an internet connection to my energy storage system?

Yes. If the program cannot communicate with your energy storage system, or if your energy storage system cannot discharge when needed (due to a maintenance issue), the incentive paid will be affected.
